A Limp That Wouldn't Go Away
This is my story of a pup limp that wouldn’t go away. Don't worry, it has a happy ending!
Chancellor is a 4 year old fox red lab. He is very active and constantly moving, running, shredding, fetching, searching or playing. Chancellor plays HARD!
Every once in a while he would tweak an ankle. We could tell because he would either let out a whimper or favor it when he walked. But when he did, we’d just take it easy for a few days, leashed walks, no fetch, and he’d been fine.
About two months ago, he hurt his ankle and couldn’t shake it. We took it easy for a few days, like we usually do, but as soon as we started playing, he would let out a tiny cry and come back for love. He's done this since he was a puppy. When something hurts he puts his head and tail down and comes back for comfort before he tears off and starts playing again. So I knew it wasn’t getting better. We couldn't find a pattern, something he was doing, a way he was turning or any type of consistent time or reason he would have it hurt.
We went to the vet and didn't get any answers. "Joint injuries are common in labs as they get older." They couldn't find anything definitive either, guessed it was tendinitis and said it's most likely some thing we just have to deal with. I did not want him to be in pain his whole life, and he's only four!
I've gotten to know Sue over the years and I was completely out of ideas so I reached out. She was so caring and knowledgable. She recommended a few supplements to try and explained what they would do for him. My first choice is always a natural option over medication and don't want to give Chancellor anything that could harm him or have side effects unless there was no choice.
I'm so happy we started taking Big Sky Supplement Flex and Anti-Inflammation herb mixes. They are a game changer! It was so easy. I realize he is a lab, but I added them to his food and he ate them straight away. After a couple weeks, we started trying to play slow and then more and more. The limping was gone! His ankle didn't hurt him anymore. And I didn’t have to see those sad puppy eyes when he wanted me to make it better and I didn't know how. I am so grateful for this all natural, easy and healthy fix! It’s now a staple in his diet.

Sandi Got Her Zoomies Back
Last month Sandi turned 8, and she had been starting to show a little age. She was a little more tired than usual not wanting to play as much, and was suddenly needing help to jump up on the bed or in the 4Runner. We added the Senior Herb Mix from Big Sky Supplements and she definitely got her spunk back! She and Aspen have been having their evening zoomies wrestling matches again, and she’s had no hesitation jumping up. We are so glad to see this side of her back again, 8 years young Sandi girl!

Healthy & Convenient Dog Treats, Food & Supplements
Finding Ruff Bars have been such a HUGE game changer for us! Ever since I got Apollo I always struggled with him having food sensitivities. So, I'm always careful what I give to him whether its a treat or food. I always have to check all the ingredients.

Wholesome Products to Support the Whole Dog
Hoji loves Ruff Bar - that much is obvious. However, did you know we first learned about this company through Ruff Food?
We started our journey a few years ago when we learned about Kairos herbs and supplements through some friends who were reps for them. We alternate between Daily Healthy and Healthy Coat and freeze them mixed with yogurt in for easy daily feeding. When the companies combined to form Big Sky Products, we learned about the whole food ingredients and lack of preservatives used in Ruff Bar and started adding them to our order too!
We try and spend every weekend doing something outdoors with Hoji - hiking, at the lake, and camping in the summer, and backcountry skiing or snowshoeing in the winter - and these are an easy thing to pack, a dog energy bar for a boost so Hoji gets a snack when we stop for lunch! They are also key to have cut up in a reusable bag to use for recall or training - we practice our trail etiquette and move Hoji off the trail or recall and leash up when we see others coming, and now Hoji knows that if she sees a person and comes to us then she may get a treat.

Real Meat Hiking Dog Power Bars
Ever since Chancellor was a puppy he has been super active and we've had a bit of a challenge keeping weight on him.
He's been able to maintain a healthy weight on a higher serving of a high calorie dog food.
We love being outdoors, especially hiking and backpacking. Taking Chancellor with us is the highlight because he was born to be in the wilderness. But we were concerned because we knew how many calories he would burn and we didn't want to put him a unhealthy situation.

CBD to Reduce Dog Anxiety
We've tried other CBD oil, with some success but not as much as I had looked for with Rose's general anxiety. After switching to yours we again saw a small change but still not huge. After adding the Harmonious Blend with CBD, Rose has been like a whole other dog! Her anxiety levels have gone to almost nonexistent. In the 3 years I've had her she was always on edge. She's been playing with toys (she never did before), lays fully on her back for belly rubs and is just less nervous about everything!
